Is the City of Austin $385 million bond proposal too much?

The City of Austin is seeking approval for $385 million in new bonds.

The City of Houston is placing $410 million in new bonds on the ballot this fall.

Why does Austin want to bury us in so much more per capita debt?  Hate to say it my be a good time to live in Houston.
